Bloom Together — Privacy Policy

Effective: July 29, 2026 · Last updated: July 29, 2026 · Version: 1.0

Bloom Together is built for homeschool families and co-ops. That means we hold information about children, and we treat it accordingly: we collect as little as possible, we never sell it, we never use it to target advertising, and a parent can take it back or erase it at any time.

Bloom Together is operated by Lovelidea, Ussery Services LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), PO Box 127, Alvin, TX 77512. This policy explains how we handle information about you, your family, and your co-op.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the basic profile details those services send us, such as a profile picture and verified email.

Profile information. Information you choose to add: a profile photo, a short "about you" bio, a phone number, and the first names and ages of your children. Your phone number is only shown to other members if you turn on "show phone" in your profile.

Content you share. Feed posts, comments, chat messages, calendar events, RSVPs, and any photos or files you upload to a garden. This content is visible only to approved members of that garden.

Technical information. Basic log data such as time of access, error reports, and device type. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver alerts to your device.

Enrollment and participation information. When you join a garden, an admin may approve your membership. The app is designed for co-op communication and planning — it does not currently host classes or curriculum — so no formal class enrollment or academic records are collected.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • create your account and run the gardens you belong to;
  • show your posts, messages, events, and RSVPs to the right members;
  • send you notifications you've asked for, including push alerts and in-app notifications;
  • keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems;
  • meet our legal obligations and respond to your privacy requests.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Who can see your information

A garden's feed, calendar, chat, roster, and files are visible only to people with an approved membership in that garden. Joining requires an admin's approval or a valid invite link.

Other members in your garden can see your name, profile photo, bio, and any children you have added to your profile. They can see your phone number only if you choose to show it. Your email address is not shared with other members.

We may access your information only when necessary to operate the service, respond to a support request, or comply with the law.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the app is used. The categories are:

  • Essential. Required for sign-in and basic function. These cannot be turned off without breaking the app.
  • Preferences. Remember choices like your profile settings and display preferences.
  • Analytics. Help us count visitors and spot problems. These are aggregated and not tied to advertising.

You can manage preferences and analytics cookies through your browser or device settings. Essential cookies will remain active so the app can function.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of vendors to run the app: a cloud platform that provides hosting, our database, sign-in, file storage, and realtime updates; a push notification provider that delivers alerts to your device; and a mobile app-shell provider for the installable app.

These providers process information only on our instructions, under contract, and are not permitted to sell it or use it for their own advertising.

6. How long we keep your information

Your content stays in your garden until you delete it or delete your account. Account deletion — available in the app from the Gardens page and your Profile — permanently removes your profile, memberships, posts, comments, and uploaded photos.

Messages you sent may remain visible to other members as part of the conversation's history unless you delete them first. Routine backups age out on a regular cycle, generally within 24 months.

If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 24 months, except where we need to keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7. Your Texas privacy rights

If you're a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives you the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
  • correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
  • delete personal data you provided or that we obtained about you;
  • obtain a portable copy of the data you provided to us;
  • opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling — we do not engage in any of these.

To make a request, email us at privacy@bloomtogetherhomeschool.com from the email address on your account. We'll verify your identity before acting and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend the response period once by another 45 days and will let you know why.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Privacy appeal" in the subject line. We'll respond in writing within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

8. If you live outside Texas

We honor comparable access, correction, portability, and deletion requests from residents of other states. Use the same email address above and tell us where you live so we can apply the right rules.

9. Children's privacy

Accounts on Bloom Together are for adults 18 and older. Children do not create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

A parent or guardian may voluntarily add a child's first name and age to their own profile so co-op members can plan together. That information is visible only to approved members of the gardens the parent belongs to. You can edit or remove it at any time in your profile, or email us at privacy@bloomtogetherhomeschool.com and we'll delete it for you.

If you believe we have collected information directly from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. How we protect your information

Data is encrypted in transit, sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication provider, and database-level access rules limit each garden's content to its approved members. Even so, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "last updated" date above, and we'll let you know in the app when the changes are significant. Your continued use of Bloom Together after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
